Welcome to my favorite genre to photograph! Needing to update your Instagram/Website/Blog? Have some updated head-shots for a new job? Maybe a new product your launching? Portraits give you the opportunity to capture emotions and a connection between you and the viewer.
Before booking, consider the details of what you want captured. Where do you want to take it - in a field, studio, or coffee shop? Do you have any specific poses you want taken? What should I wear?
If taking headshots for a new job offer, I suggest wearing more formal or neutral clothing (non flashy patterns and colors).
Be yourself! If wearing a fluffy jacket or glittery pants is your style or what you’re selling, wear it!
I would avoid wearing higher heels, if taking photos in a field. If high heels are worn, bring a second pair of shoes just in case.
